Renault Kwid (K-ZE) Electric

It looks like Renault India is also interested in Electric segment which is another upcoming big Automobile market in India. Renault showcased its electric Kwid (K-ZE) in 2020 India Auto Expo. The Renault Kwid Electric model is currently under sale in China. It looks like Renault now trying to offer better and cheaper Electric Vehicle.

The Renault Kwid electric model is using the same design language of oil burning Kwid which is under sale in India and many other countries World Wide. After the launch of Kwid electric model in India it is going to give direct competition to its rivals which are MG ZSev, Tata Nexon ev and Hyundai Kona. In China the Kwid (KZ-E) is priced at 66,800 yuan.

Abroad, Kwid ev is driven by an electric motor which produce 44 hp and 125 Nm of torque. The vehicle comes with 26.8 Kwh Ternary Lithium Battery pack and company claims 350 kilometres range in one full charge at a constant speed of 60 Kmph. But the NEDC clam range of 271 km range in one full charge in real world conditions. From the DC fast charging station, the vehicle can be charged in 50 minutes from 30 percent to 80 percent and with 6.6 Kwh AC charging point it can be charged in 4 Hours from empty to full as per Renault.

Renault Kwid (K-ZE) dimensions are 3755 mm in length, 1579 mm in Width, 2423 mm Wheelbase, Ground Clearance 151 mm which is reduced from 184 mm and Tyre Size is 165/70 mm R14 inch.

The interior of the Kwid ev looks almost identical to oil burning Kwid. Their are some little changes made inside the cabin like the steering wheel comes with blue color insert and similar blue color finish insert is also given around the front Air-vents. The Digital Driver information display shows all kinds of important information like Speed, Remaining Range, Battery Charge Level, Regenerative Braking Level and more. The 8.0 inch Touch Screen infotainment system looks identical to Indian spec Kwid which comes with features like USB, AUX, Bluetooth, Navigation and more.

Renault Kwid (K-ZE) is equipped with safety features like 2 front Airbags, Rain Sens Wipers, ABS, EBD, Rear Parking Sensor and Parking Camera.
