Now days slowly off Road adventure Bikes are becoming popular in India, there are so many adventure bikes already Launched in India and some are still out of budget for many people. But motorcycle company like Royal Enfield, BMW and Hero launched their budget adventure bike for those people who want all terrain vehicle which can be used as a daily and for touring purpose. Now another company name added to budget adventure motorcycle which is none other than KTM their high performance sports bike are more popular than any other company in India. The KTM Adventure 390 built on the platform of Duke 390 bike in factory and took some parts from Rally 450 to turn 390 Duke into Adventure Bike.
As per company the Split Trellis Frame which is used in the bike is very lightweight and help to increase strength of vehicle. The frame is powder coated so that structure life and rust proofing can be increased. The steering head of bike is angled at 63 degree which clearly suggest that this bike is made for off-road purpose.
At front the bike comes fitted with WP Apex 43 mm upside down suspension mainly developed for enduro riding and the suspension travel 6.7 inch with spring and rear suspension travel 177 mm together both provide best off road capability. The front wheel come 100/90 R 19 inch tyre size and rear come with 130/80 R 17 inch tyre size. Front and rear tyres are fitted with aluminum alloy wheel and off road grip tubeless tyre. At front the stopping power comes from 320 mm disc brake with 4 piston radially mounted caliper and rear comes from 230 mm of disc brake with 2 piston caliper. An ergonomically designed 14.5 litre fuel Tank Ktm claim 310 Km range.

Ktm Adventure 390 comes with features like Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC), 390 adventure come with adjustable windscreen as standard, 5 inch TFT Display with multi-functional dashboard, Led lighting at front and rear, Cornering and Off-Road ABS.
It come with the same 373 cc liquid cooled engine and electronic fuel injection system which produce 43 Bhp of power and 37 Nm torque. The engine is mated to 6 speed manual gearbox with PASC Anti-hopping Clutch with Mechanically Actuated. Like other Ktm bikes the adventure 390 doesn’t have heating issue due to it new specially designed curved radiator which helps to increase cooling of fluid during off road and behind radiator the two cooling fans are placed to increase cooling process which are very help full during extreme off-road.
The Adventure 390 having ground clearance 200 mm, Wheel base 1430 mm and the Seating height 855 mm bit high which is not suitable for small height rider. But it’s going to be tough competition for KTM to attract buyers towards it 390 Adventure bike because there are already some other adventure bikes available in market at lower price.
If you are thinking of buying an adventure bike for daily use, this is not ridiculous as the local road conditions in some areas are almost the same as off-road and hence the bike will provide a better ride to its rider.
