2020 TATA Nexon Facelift Detailed Review
Tata launched its safest compact Suv Nexon facelift in India with all new design. The front end of Nexon has now undergone a complete new look. The new look has made the vehicle more aggressive and stylish as compared to the older generation. The Nexon facelift first was launched with Ev model and the same design concept used in the oil burning model.
The front headlights are slightly smaller and has more attractive design that comes with a projector lights. The redesigned DRL’s that travel only half distance in the headlights and also DRL’s play the roll of turn light indicators. Tata call this new Design TRI Arrow DRLs. The glossy black piano panel between the front headlights create a connection. The Fog light housing comes with silver finish insert on it. Front Bumper skid plate comes with silver color finish. Above the skid plate, their is a huge grille that comes with a new Y design elements and also the grille has a silver color finish. There is a slight change on the side profile of the vehicle as the wheel arches have been redesigned, Orvm comes with LED turn light indicators. New design dual tone color finish Alloy Wheels. The only noticeable change to the rear end is the taillights and Bumper Design.
Tata Nexon Facelift now powered by two different BS6 engines which are 1.2 liter turbo petrol and 1.5 liter turbo diesel. The 1.2 liter 3 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine produces 118 Bhp and 170 Nm of torque. Another 1.5 liter 4 cylinder turbocharged diesel engine produces 108 Bhp and 260 Nm of torque. Both engines are mounted to a 6 speed manual gearbox and 6 speed Automatic gearbox as an optional in top end variants. The Dimensions of vehicle are 3993 mm in Length, 1811 mm Width, 1606 mm Height, 2498 mm Wheelbase, Ground Clearance is 209 mm, Boot-space is 350 litres and Fuel Tank Capacity of 44 litres.
When you sit inside the vehicle, the first thing that going to attract your attention is the soft touch material used inside the cabin like on door panels and dashboard. The front bucket style seats provide good support and comfort for longer Journeys. Tata used front grille Y design elements on the dashboard and seats. On the driver side, New changes are flat bottom steering wheel which looks like borrowed from Altroz and a fully digital instrument cluster that shows all the important information of vehicle. The new tech update in facelift Nexon is the iRA Tech Connected Car technology which comes with features like Connected Safety, Natural Voice System and Tribes App. A natural voice system comes with features like you can interact with infotainment systems by using Hindi voice conversations to control climate control, calls, music, vehicle fuel information and range information. The rear passenger now gets more cabin light because of the sunroof, which allows more natural light and helps to eliminate the darkness from the cabin.
The 7.0 Inch Touch Screen infotainment system comes with features like USB, AUX, Bluetooth, Apple Carplay, Android Auto, Navigation, Radio, Voice Command, iPod Compatibility and 6+ speakers to offer Better Sound quality.
The face-lifted Tata Nexon comes with safety features like 4 Airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Control, Traction Control System (TC/TCS), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Auto Headlamps, Rain Sensing Wipers, Cruise Control and Reverse Camera with parking sensor.
